What the app does
The Hamed Saghafi app shows live rates for gold and coins, currencies, crypto, commodities and stock indices in one place. Its jewelry and melted-gold calculators work out the final price — including making charge, profit, tax and weight — and show the full formula.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the prices come from, and how fresh are they?
Rates refresh every 15 seconds from our server and public price sources, and if one source goes down the app switches to the next one automatically. The rates are for information; what counts when you buy or sell is the price you agree with the seller.
Is the app free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it is completely free, and signing in is optional: prices, the calculators, the archive and sharp-move alerts work without an account. Signing in (with your mobile number or email and a one-time code — the same account as on the website) syncs your favorites, alerts, archive and settings across all your phones, turns on custom price alerts and new IPO notifications, and shows your course certificates.
I didn't receive the sign-in code
Check the number or email again and look in your spam folder. You can request a new code once a minute, and the number of requests per hour is limited; if the app asks you to wait, try again a few minutes later. If it still doesn't arrive, email support.
Does it work offline?
The calculators, archive and invoices work without internet. Live rates and price alerts need internet to fetch prices.
How do I work out the final gold price?
In the gold calculator, today's rate is filled in automatically but you can edit it — enter the price you agreed with the seller, along with weight, making charge, profit and tax. The result updates instantly with the full formula next to it. Tap “Create invoice” to save the image or share it.
How do I enter the karat?
In two ways: “out of 1000” or “24-karat”. The equivalent value is shown at the same time.
How do I create a price alert? Why didn't I get one?
Press and hold any price and choose when to be notified: above a number, below a number, or when the coin bubble passes a limit. Creating a new alert requires signing in with a verified mobile number; the alert is then checked both on your phone and on our server, so it arrives even if your phone's internet is cut off, without arriving twice. If an alert didn't arrive, check that notifications are allowed for the app and, on Android, that battery saving isn't restricting the app in the background.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
Sign in on the new phone with the same mobile number or email; your settings, favorites and their order, alerts and calculation archive come back automatically. Backup to a file was removed in version 3.9 and sync replaces it; if you don't sign in, your data stays only on that phone.
How do I turn off anonymous statistics?
In Settings → Share anonymous usage stats. What is sent — and what never is — is described in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
If you aren't signed in, calculations, the archive, favorites and alerts live only on your phone, and deleting the app removes them all. If you are signed in, their synced copy on our server is removed when you delete your account. Anonymous statistics aren't linked to your name, phone number or account.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. A code is sent to your verified mobile number or email, and entering it deletes the account immediately. If you don't have the app or can't access your account, write to hello@hamedsaghafi.com from the account's email address, or mention the account's mobile number, and we'll delete it after verifying it's yours.
Your mobile number, email, name, sessions, connected phones and synced data are removed. Purchase, course and certificate records are kept, and if you hold a certificate that hasn't been revoked, your name is kept only for those certificates. Is the result an official document?
No. The app is an assistive tool for transparency; results are based on the numbers you enter and are advisory only, not a recommendation to buy or sell.
